Please submit up to 3 poems in the body of an email or attached in a single Word doc.
Themes we’re reading for:
- the moon
- the body as nature
- mothers and motherhood (your way)
- poems of witness
Please include a brief third-person bio – no more than 50 words.
Simultaneous submissions are welcome, but please email us to withdraw a piece if it is accepted elsewhere. And congrats!
The poems can be previously published (in print only or in an online journal that is now defunct), but please tell us who first published the piece so that we can make sure to give credit.
Submissions are open from April 15 – May 15 (June publication) and August 15 – September 15 (January publication).
Response time should be within one month, possibly sooner. Feel free to query after 30 days.
A moon of one’s own is a non-paying market at this time, but we will nominate for the Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net. There is no submission fee.
By submitting, you’re allowing us to publish and archive your work on this site. However, all rights to your work will remain with you.
